The Workshop shirt is a staple in the James Coward assortment. The gabardine fabric is a tight twill weave, so it has a smoother, denser surface and a heavier drape than you’d expect from linen. It’s piece dyed, meaning the cloth is woven first and dyed afterwards, which gives this dark brown a deep, slightly uneven colour that should wear in nicely. The fit is easy, with double knife pleats under a single-layer yoke for movement and a flat hem. Wear it as a shirt, layer as an overshirt, really Bob is your uncle with this one.
