I used to be in a band. There were three of us, and we all sucked. The drummer was new to the instrument and always hit the drums as hard as he could. The guitarist/vocalist didn't know how to strike chords that were even slightly complex while singing. The keyboardist was just a guy who had classical piano training as a child but never learned anything beyond following sheet music. Naturally, the band disbanded. The guitarist and the keyboardist got together, while the drummer kept practicing, and now he’s better than the two of us. So the fabric was drum-dyed to give a rich depth of color, just like how the drummer now brings so much texture to his playing. The weave is airy and the cut is relaxed. I miss the summer when we played.
