DESCRIPTION

The T-Shape Shirt gets its name from its distinct silhouette. Completely horizontal shoulders and exaggeratedly wide sleeves create a strong, graphic shape, while the construction of the sleeves forms a striking triangular geometry once attached to the body.

Simple in concept, but anything but ordinary on the body. An excellent example of how thoughtful pattern cutting can completely change the way a shirt looks and wears.

And if you didn't know an isosceles triangle is a shape with two sides of equal length and two angles of equal measure, I thought it was three sides of equal length...damn.

DETAILS

- Rinsed USA plain weave with ecru warp & weft yarns, for end uses including lightweight dust sheets and storage coverings with lightly mottled surface texture
- Cut as a T shape, with horizontal shoulders & very wide sleeves
- Once sleeves are fastened to body, machinist sews straight line from top of shoulder to cuff, angling shoulder and tapering the sleeve
- Resulting flap is pressed flat and sewn down along edges, creating an isosceles triangle with apex at neck and base at cuff
- Large pockets sewn at front, sleeves
- Custom-made black oversized ‘jigger’ buttons, flat two-hole buttons designed to support decorative button from behind soft fabric
